This is the second year that some of the art students from WES and WJH, decorated placemats- for the Community Thanksgiving Meal! This event will be held on Thanksgiving Day, from 11am-1pm at Holy Family Catholic Church in Alma.
Thank you, once again, for allowing the students, Tayler Sievers- WES Administrative Assistant and I to participate in this "blessing"!!

Parents of WHS students: We have implemented a new Absence email for the WHS Office. To report all absences or releasing of students, please use the following email address:
whs-office@usd329.org. This can also be found on our USD 329 website under Menu/Parents & Students. This allows all secretaries at WHS to receive notifications that your student will be missing school. Have a Happy Thanksgiving!

Reminder that the Fear the Stampede Charger Event scheduled for tonight at the High School has been postponed until after Christmas Break. Look for more information in January!
The FAFSA is now open for any students who are planning to apply for financial aid for college! Head over to fafsa.gov to start your application! Remember, each student/parent filling out the FAFSA needs to create an FSA ID prior to filling out the FAFSA. You can find more information about that on the WHS Counselor webpage. It's also important to get your FAFSA filled out early to ensure you make the financial aid priority deadlines for the colleges/programs you apply for!
WHS Excelsior Club had their semester breakfast this morning for all Blue, Red and White cardholders. We would like to thank Bank of The Flint Hills for sponsoring this scrumptious meal!

We are approaching the time to form the upcoming academic calendar for 2025-26. I am calling for a few parent volunteers from each level who want to join this committee. Today WHS hosted a college/post-secondary fair! Freshmen through Seniors were able to participate and ask questions of the representatives from a wide range of colleges and programs in attendance after braving the storms to come visit with our students! Some of the different colleges/programs that attended were KU, KSU, Fort Hays Tech, Emporia State, Wichita State, Cloud County CC, Manhattan Fire Department, Wab. Co. Sheriffs Dept., MATC, Newman University, KS AirGuard and many others! It's never too early, or too late, to start making plans for after high school! GO CHARGERS!

Our high school student council hosted the Flint Hills League Student Council workshop today. A big thanks to the Wabaunsee County Extension office for presenting over team building and character development. Also, thank you to Stop 2 Shop for providing lunch.
