USD 329 Families:
School is canceled tomorrow, Monday, January 26th, due to unsafe weather conditions.
Morning temperatures will be -8°F to -4°F with wind chills near -20°F. These extreme conditions create serious concerns: frostbite risk for students at bus stops, and black ice on our rural roads as overnight temperatures refreeze moisture left from snow removal. With many of our routes on county roads, conditions will be treacherous for bus travel - and dangerous for families traveling to school or activities as well.
Your children's safety is always our first priority, and we want everyone in our community to stay safe. I know this creates challenges for families, and I truly appreciate your understanding and flexibility in making alternative plans.
We'll monitor conditions and communicate about Tuesday by tomorrow afternoon.
