We’re excited to welcome Allen Meat Processing, Alta Vista Meat Co., Diamond A Meat Processing, and Bowser Meat Processing as partners in USD 329’s Livestock Donation Program.
One of our goals was to create processing options in every direction for area ranchers. That matters because many processors are booked weeks—or even a month or two—out. By building a broader network of trusted local partners, ranchers have a much better chance of finding an available processor when an unexpected or time-sensitive situation comes up. It gives donors more flexibility, supports local businesses, and helps us keep high-quality local beef moving into meals for our students. Local cattle. Local processors. Local kids.

There are several more chances to learn about the USD 329 bond proposal, review the plans and renderings, ask questions, and talk directly with district leadership before Election Day. USD 329 has emphasized providing project details and opportunities for community questions throughout the bond-information process.
We’ve also added two informal Bond Talk Over Coffee opportunities at Mel’s in Alma.

Thanks to recent changes in federal school nutrition requirements, schools now have more flexibility in the types of milk we can offer students!!! This year, USD 329 is using that flexibility to expand our milk choices, including whole milk, as well as chocolate and strawberry options that meet USDA nutrition standards.
📞 DISTRICT PHONE UPDATE
Because apparently today needed one more plot twist…
We are currently experiencing an issue with our district phone system that is preventing outside calls from coming into our buildings. We are still able to make outgoing calls.
WTC has been notified and is actively working on the issue, and we are awaiting a solution.
We wanted to let families know right away so no one becomes frustrated if you try to call a school or district office and cannot get through. This issue comes on the heels of this morning’s power outage, but school operations are continuing normally at this time.
We will send another update as soon as incoming phone service has been restored.

☕ BOND TALK OVER COFFEE WITH DR. TROY PITSCH
Have questions about the USD 329 bond proposal? Dr. Troy Pitsch, Superintendent of USD 329, will be at Mel’s in Alma on Tuesday, September 22, from 9:00–10:00 a.m. for an informal Bond Talk Over Coffee. A couple of USD 329 Board of Education members will also join us, giving community members another opportunity to meet directly with district leadership about the proposal.
No presentation and no podium. Come when you can, grab a cup of coffee, look through the project plans and renderings, review the estimated tax information, and ask the questions that matter to you. Stay for five minutes or stay for the entire hour. You are also more than welcome to simply listen to the conversation. This is about making information available and giving our community another comfortable setting to learn more about what is being proposed before Election Day. We’ll hold a second Coffee Chat on Tuesday, October 27, from 9:00–10:00 a.m.

📣 ADDITIONAL ALMA BOND COMMUNITY SESSION ADDED!
We know Wednesday, September 23, is a busy evening in Alma, with Homecoming festivities taking place at the same time as our scheduled Bond Community Session. We don’t want our families and community members to have to choose between supporting our students and participating in this important community conversation.
So, we’re adding another opportunity. Our September 23 session will continue as scheduled from 6:00–7:00 p.m. in the WHS Commons, and we have added a second Alma session:
