⚠️ **GAME TIME CHANGES — 7:30 PM STARTS**

Due to the continued heat and the potential risk to our student-athletes, officials, coaches, families, and fans, we are moving the start times for both of our upcoming football contests.

**WJHS vs. Council Grove — Tonight, September 3 — 7:30 PM**
**WHS Varsity — Friday, September 4 — 7:30 PM**

These are not decisions we make lightly, but when conditions raise concerns about the health and safety of our kids and everyone involved in putting on these events, we will always err on the side of protecting people. We appreciate everyone’s flexibility and understanding. Please help us spread the word about the updated start times.

**Take care of our kids. Take care of each other. Go Chargers!**

Charger Nation!

A quick reminder to our families: USD 329 uses Wet Bulb Globe Temperature (WBGT) readings to monitor heat conditions and guide decisions regarding practices and student activities. Our coaches and staff are prepared to modify practice times, intensity, equipment, hydration breaks, or locations—and postpone activities when conditions require it. The health and safety of our students will remain our first priority.

USD 329 has released the Preliminary Project Scope for the proposed $14 million bond election scheduled for November 3, 2026.

You can see this at the following link: https://aptg.co/1kvk-T

The document outlines the major priorities the proposal is intended to address, including a new Career and Technical Education facility, improvements across all three school campuses, replacement of aging building systems, and removal of three modular buildings. It also clearly identifies the decisions that have not yet been made. Final designs, dimensions, materials, equipment, sequencing, and individual project allocations will be refined through professional design, site evaluation, code review, and competitive bidding.

Public accountability will remain central throughout the process. USD 329 will publish project progress and bond expenditures, and material changes to the publicly identified scope will be discussed during an open Board of Education meeting with an explanation of what changed and why. We encourage community members to review the preliminary scope and continue following the USD 329 Bond Information Center as additional information becomes available.
