The Wabaunsee/ Pottawatomie Safe Kids Coalition is sponsoring two upcoming events for those needing to have their car seats checked for proper installation and condition. The first will be at Mission Valley Schools on Wednesday, August 7th, from 11:30 until 1:30. The second will take place in Alma at the Heritage Home on Friday, August 9th , from 10:00 until 12:00. There will be a limited number of free car seats to be issued to those with defective or expired car seats.
Wabaunsee County Sheriff SRO’s Angie King and Steve Bundy will be present along with coalition staff and certified car seat technicians. With the beginning of school rapidly approaching this is a great time to have your seats checked and make sure they are fit for transporting your kids back and forth from school.
